Connor Fellowship Highlight: Meet Gayle Ulrich!

Connor Fellowships are awarded to current grad students seeking to make a positive impact on the Art Ed Department here at City College, and on the larger citywide art education community! This post is part of a series introducing Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 Connor Fellows.

Meet Gayle Ulrich, who is supporting the department with a much-needed website refresh:

“I am a Brooklyn-based designer who creates experiences to educate and delight. My design work shifts between graphic, exhibition, and experiential design. I primarily work with museums and non-profits to build exhibitions and support learning experiences. I am interested in the parallels between designers and educators as “experience designers” and guides in participatory creation. The CCNY art ed community has provided so much joy and wisdom as I move my understanding of learning beyond the physical and into the personal. This is my third semester at CCNY. I plan to graduate the MA + initial certification track next Spring 2023. Outside of my work as a designer, I am an aunt, friend, collector, crafter, reuse enthusiast, and home-cook.

As a Connor Fellow, I am leveraging my web skills to help refresh artedcitycollege.org with organizational and design updates. If there is anything you would like to see on the website or have an experience to share, please reach out!”

Hi Gayle!
